Nutan Bazar: Ujondi Club of Bhomracherra ADC village under Amarpur R.D. Block felicitated the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary passed students from TBSE in a function organized in the village today. President of the club Pranay Ranjan Chakma said that 11 candidates appeared Higher Secondary and 14 appear Madhyamik from the village in 2017 and all of them passed in the examinations. All of the 25 candidates were felicitated by the club today.
Eminent persons of the village Debabrata Chakma, Kishore Chakma, Ujjwal Chakma, Tarani Sen Chakma and Dipjoy Chakma were present on the occasion. All of them appealed the students to come forward to develop the society. They also stressed on role of mother to educate the children. All the eminent persons of the village appreciated the initiative of felicitation by the club.
The club was established at the beginning of this year with initiative of 25 to 30 youths of Chakma community. Then the club started different awareness programme in the village. As result anti social activities like teer, gambling, addiction stopped in the village remarkably and environment of study created in the village.
