Tripura youth arrested from Delhi for posting derogatory remark against CM brought to Agartala

AGARTALA:

The Tripura police has brought Anupam Pal from Delhi on Saturday here at Agartala amid tight security. Anupam Pal said to have belonged to BJP IT Cell was arrested by the police from Delhi on June 13th on charge of posting derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in Face book post.

However, Anupam Pal of Tripura is brought to Tripura and produced him before the court today. Police had also arrested a freelance television journalist Saikat Talapatra and a police constable for sharing a Facebook post by Anupal Paul that claimed Chief Minister’s spouse filed a divorce suit in a court at Delhi.  

In similar such incident another BJP member Nitu Gora from Assam was arrested on Thursday by the Assam Police for making derogatory remark against Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Though the accused is freed on bail on Friday.
