Tripura Gramin Bank advises RMs to review ATM faults

AGARTALA:

Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB), in a circular, stopped operation of all old magnetic strip Rupay ATM cum Debit cards and KCC (Kisan Credit Cards).

According to the circular, the bank has already printed altogether 88,000 EMV enables ATM cards and distributed among the branches subsequently. But, only 18,000 of them were issued or replaced by old ones. The use of old cards is a violation of RBI rules and huge number TGB customers are still using those cards. Several frauds have been reported due to the use of these outdated cards.

The circular undersigned by General Manager TGB, advised all the regional managers to look into the matter and ordered each and every branch to issue new cards as soon as possible considering the gravity of the problems being faced by the customers.
