In yet another major development, the Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) has taken the initiative of connecting the rural markets of the state with high mast solar power, said power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday.
The minister said that move aims to boost local trade and ensure better facilities for rural vendors. The minister on Wednesday visited the market areas of Lefunga Block and interacted with the officials and locals.
He said that the initiative of connecting the rural markets with high mast solar power will allow our tribal brothers and sisters to continue their businesses even at night without worrying about electricity bills.
