Defecation at open place is nothing but endangering the public life, said Chief Development Officer of Champawar District from Uttarakhanda Sailendra Singh Bist at Special Training Camp on Swaccha Bharat Abhijan organized at Panchayat Raj Training Centre of Dhalai District at Ambassa today.
The 8 days Special Training Camp started with Chairman, GRS and Panchayat Village Secretary of Gram Panchayats and Village Committees one selected teacher from each VC and Panchayat under Ambassa, Salema, Durga choumuhani, Damburnagar, Manu, Chaumanu, Raishyabari and Ganganagar Block. At same time a workshop on the same mission started at conference hall of Panchayat Raj Training Centre.
The workshop inaugurated on December 15 with 16 Gram Panchayat and VC of Salema Block. Another workshop held on same subject on December 16 with delegates of 17 GP and VC under Manu Block.
Chief Development Officer of Champawar District Sailendra Singh Bist inaugurated the Special Training Camp in presence of Upasana Negi and Debraj Bhat of Dhalai District Swacha Bharat Mission.
During speech Sailendra Singh Bist represented elaborate information to refrain the dweller of each Panchayat and Village Committee under each block of Dhalai district from defecation at open place.
He said, the entire village suffers from problem if at least one family fails to leave habit of open defecation. As a result drinking water will be polluted and all the villagers will suffer from critical disease in the entire village.
He advised all to think about raising complain against government while government does not take initiative when people become affected by disease. He also advised the make the habit of defecation at Latrine and washing hands and feet after coming from latrine and to maintain cleanliness of the village. Referring Tripura has not exceeded 75 percent to prevent open defecation he while Uttarakhanda occupied top position in the country he said, such workshop will be organized at all districts of the state.
