AGARTALA:

Lambasting upon the Left front government in Tripura, the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani who arrived here at Kailasahar district of the state on Sunday morning alleged, “Women of the state are simply ‘unsafe’ and atrocities on women are rising at an alarming rate under the 25 rules of Left.”

“The Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has not put any importance to the rape and murder case at his own constituency of Dhanpur and managed to fly for Chandigarh,” adding Ms. Irani said, “What shall one expect from such government who do not even bother about rising rate of atrocities on women in this state.”

She said, “The Left does not have the moral right to remain in power even for a minute which failed to keep it’s mothers and sisters safe.”

“For the welfare of the people of this state we shall bring a change and form BJP government in Tripura,” said Ms. Irani who arrived here at the state’s Kailsahar district to woo voters and take part in Saffron’s poll campaign.
