The opposition Left students’ body – SFI and TSU on Thursday alleged of complete ruining of the education system in the state under the rule of BJP government and staged protest here at Agartala.
The activists of SFI and TSU led by the SFI state secretary Sandipan Deb burned the effigy of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha over the alleged running of the education system in Tripura. The Left body also burned the effigy of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the irregularities of NEET and NET examination scam.
SFI state secretary Sandipan Deb said, “At a time when the Centre in destroying the country by ruining the education sector, the government in Tripura is also in run to ruin the education here.”
“The government in Tripura has pushed the students in trouble with teachers’ crisis in all educational institutions and by implementing the Mission Vidyajyoti project, which is a complete failure,” he said, adding that the government during the last six years of their rule has completely failed to develop the education system of the state, rather the government has just ruined it to land the students in trouble.
“The BJP government is now trying to shutdown at least 511 schools in our state, which is yet another trouble for the students and their future,” he told reporters.
The SFI and TSU however demanded resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the irregularities in NEET and NET examination. The Left body also demanded the government in Tripura to restore the education system in the state and save the future of the students.
