Separate forest passes for Bamboo export

AGARTALA:

The forest department of the state has introduced three separate bamboo passes for the export of bamboo for the green land under “The Tripura Forest Transit (5th amendment) Rules, 2019” in respect to the latest improvisations taken place in the Forest Act.

According to the government notification, for the bamboo grown in private forests and plots, the owner has to obtain a bamboo pass form the Beat officer. In case of the bamboos grown in Private forests or the plots, a separate pass has to be collected from the Beat Officer or the member secretary of the joint forest management committees in lieu of charges to export.

And, for exporting bamboo outside of the state National permits has to be procured from the Sub-divisional forest officers. Meanwhile, no charges have been levied on export of finished bamboo products.
