Enormous sound after crack in water supply pipe due to shifting of soil by dozer at Ramesh Choumuhani created rumor at Ramesh Chowmuhani area. Local people started to run haphazardly after the huge sound at about 9 p.m. in last night.
At the same time the news of injuring six to seven persons created panic among the locals. Hearing the huge sound and rumor of coming out oil from depth of soil through social media about 2000 people assembled at Ramesh Chowmuhani.
The position of a petrol pump near the place of occurrence increased the panic more among the people.
At last the people came to know that the workers engaged in construction of National Highway found some bubbles of water while digging the soil of road on November 21. Meanwhile dozer started to dig soil at the spot. As a result huge sound produced after sudden crack at a large pipe of water supply by pressure of water.
On being informed officials of DWS rushed to the spot and engaged workers to repair the pipe.
