The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh who arrived here at Agartala on Saturday in a 2 days visit has took part in a series of programme in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates to contest in the ensuing assembly election slated to be held on February 18 this year.
Singh wooed voters today in a road show organised in support of BJP candidate Sudip Roy Barman and later addressed a rally at Agartala BT ground,
While addressing a rally today Rajnath slammed the Left front government headed by Manik Sarkar and alleged, “The 25 years rule of the communist here has topped Tripura in crime, atrocities on women, poverty, unemployment.”
“Give this BJP a chance and its shall lead Tripura in the nation in every field,” adding Rajnath said, “The youths of this state are deprived at large from employment opportunities under the rule of Left.”
He also alleged, “Atrocities on women are rising at an alarming rate in this state.” Rajnath assured, “If BJP form government here, it shall ensure security for every section of people unlike the present situation where oppositions are victimized.”
However, unlike others the BJP and the ruling CPI-M both are witnessed to have been preparing for one to one fight in this ensuing assembly election.
