Pradyot alleges large scale violence

AGARTALA:

Tripura Pradesh Congress President Pradyot Kishore Debbarman today pointed finger at the state government and alleged, “Absence of democratic culture in the state”. “The Congress party has filed specific complaints against the people involved in violent activities against the Congress workers. But, no noticeable attempts have been seen from the part of police department” alleged the TPCC president.

He also said, since the process of Lok Sabha elections came to an end, large scale violence was triggered by the BJP sheltered miscreants. Many Congress party leaders faced political intimidation but no positive outlook from the part of the ruling party or the state government to stop the activities has been seen yet, he alleged while addressing a press conference at Sabroom.

Meanwhile, a team of Congress leaders including today visited the violence stricken areas of Sabroom. They also visited the area of old Sabroom Congress Bhavan which was vandalized citing illegal encroachment.
