One old man drowned at Gomati River today when he was bathing in the river in the morning.
Sources said that retired employee of Animal Resource Department Haradhan Rudra Pal (85) , a resident of Dalak under Birganja Police Station area went to take bath at Gomati river at about 9 a.m. Anyhow he slept in the depth of river and flown by water of river which was at full brim.
Later local people suspected that he had drowned after identifying his garments at the bank of the river.
On being informed staffs of Fire Service rushed to the spot. But they failed to locate the body under water.
Later, divers were informed to identify the body. But the body has not been identified today according to last information received from Amarpur.
