One listed extremist of NLFT (BM) faction surrendered before the authority of 71st BSF official at Ambassa in Dhalai district on Saturday.
The surrendered militant is identified as Sachindra Reang (47) and he surrendered in front of Sh. Baby Joseph DIG of BSF 71st battalion at Ambassa on 23rdMarch.
BSF sources said that Sachindra Reang (47) was actively involved in insurgency and to join the mainstream living Sachindra Reang contacted the BSF and expressed his desire to surrender and shun insurgence to lead a peaceful life.
