In an incident of dispute on land one person murdered when he went to take Prasad of Laxmi Puja on last night at Garji area of Udaipur.
Sources said that Satyendra Sangma (45) went to take Prasad of Laxmipuja at the house of Santila Chakma on last night. After arriving there he was engaged in argument with Santila Reang and his family members. At that time all were in drunken condition. At a time the dispute reached at ultimate stage.
Then Santala and her family members attacked Satyendra and hit at his head and body with heavy file of wood. As a result Satyendra died on the spot.
On being informed a large contingent of police rushed to the spot from Garji Out Post. Police recovered the body from the spot and sent for post mortem. At the same time police arrested six persons including one woman.
The arrested persons are Shiladhan Marak (25), Santila Reang (52), Tharakson Marak (52), Sujit Mark (25), Prayog Marak (35) and Tenuni Marak (52).
The arrested persons sent to R.K. Pur Police Station from Garji Out Post in the morning today. A case has been filed against them according to Section 302 and 34 of IPC. All the arrested persons have been sent to court today.
Meanwhile the body of the deceased handed over to relatives after post mortem. The incident has created the situation tensed at Garji area.
