In a tragic incident one school student died and another injured by road mishap at Teliamura today. Sources said that student of class- X Debhunar Debbarma and Rabi Debbarma of Mungiakami H.S. School started for their house at 41 Mile area from the school hostel by riding bicycle in the afternoon without taking permission of authority.
Unfortunately the bicycle collided face to face with a Bolero truck (TR 02 E-1809) which was coming from opposite direction at 39 Mile area.
As a result Debhunar Debbarma died on the spot while Rabi Debbarma injured seriously. The bicycle also collapsed. On being informed Fire Service rushed to the spot and sent them to Mungiakami Hospital after rescuing both the student.
Later Rabi Debbarma was referred to G.B. Hospital in serious condition. The information of death of classmate brought down a poll of gloom among the students of the hostel. Meanwhile police detained the truck and arrested the driver.
