Police today arrested one Biplab Biswas, a history-sheeter under National Security Act.
According to police sources, Biplab Biswas is one of the noted criminals having nexus with illegal land dealing, settlement and extortion.
Speaking to the media persons, Additional Superintended of Police Mihir Lal Sarakar said, District Magistrate West Tripura issued a preventive arrest order against Biplab Biswas earlier this week. We executed the order and detained him”.
Later on, he was produced before the Court and sentenced with Jail Custody.
