At last the administration transferred controversial OC Bimal Debbarma from Bagma Police Station and posted him to Police Reserve on 14/10/18. At present Sushanta Deb from R.K. Pur Police Station has been appointed at the post of Officer in Charge of the Police Station. Sources said that different allegations raised against the controversial OC long ago.
Information revealed that Bagma became den of liquor for many days. A gang of youth attacked house of local journalist Rakesh Nandi on September 23 as he sent report about the abundance of liquor at the area.
Meanwhile Udaipur Press Club submitted a deputation to Bagma Police Station on September 24 on demand of arrest of the accused attackers on journalist. But OC Bimal Debbarma had not arrested the accused persons till today.
In the meantime local people allegedly witnessed Bimal Debbarma was gossiping with the attackers at different places. Department sources said that allegation raised SP against Bimal Debbarma.
Local sources said that higher officers of Police lifted Bimal Debbarma from Bagma in last night and brought him to Police Reserve. Another source said that he has been transferred to conduct investigation against him. SDPO also admitted the true fact behind the transfer.
