The festival is organized by the Tripura State NSS Cell of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports and NSS Regional Director Guwahati of the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. This festival will continue till September 27 next.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that becoming a true human being and strengthening one's inherent talent should be the main objective of student life. Youth society has a special role in building a beautiful society, he said, adding that the NSS volunteers also have a special role in building a drug free, plastic free, pollution free society.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi dreams of building a developed country with the youth. For this reason, the Prime Minister directly interacted with students studying in schools, colleges and universities on various issues of the country, he added.
He said that a new dimension has been added to the economic and overall development of the North Eastern states after Narendra Modi took charge as the Prime Minister. He said that there has been tremendous improvement in education, health and communication systems in the entire North Eastern region including Tripura. As a result, the region is directly linked to the main stream of development of the country, which was neglected for the past few decades.
