A 41-year-old man was detained after he attempted to open the front door of a flight mid-air, which was preparing for landing here at Agartala MBB Airport on Thursday.
Reportedly the detained man identified as Biswajit Debnath of Agartala Jirania suddenly ran away to the door and tried to open it. He was traveling from Hyderabad via Guwahati to Agartala. was prevented by the crew members leading to a scuffle.
He allegedly misbehaved with the crew members and repeatedly tried to move forward to pull down the handle of the front door of the flight.
Soon after the flight landed successfully, the accused man was handed over to the Airport Police Station. He was later rushed to hospital as he sustained injuries in a scuffle, but doctors declared him out of danger and suspected him with high on drugs.
