Illicit drugs recovered from CPI-M party office at Bishalgarh in presence of Left's former minister

Recovery of illicit drugs at Bishalgarh CPI-M party office has triggered serious panic among the locals. Police acting on an allegation made by a local BJP leader has conducted the raid on Wednesday mid-night in presence of former finance minister Bhanulal Saha and other local communist leaders and recovered those illicit drugs.

With prior permission of the Magistrate court the local police has conducted a raid at the CPI-M party office at Bishalgarh and recovered illicit drugs consisting of corex and phensydils. The raid was conducted in presence of senior communist leader and former finance minister Bhanulal Saha and other communist leaders who were inside the party office on Wednesday night.

Local BJP leader Netai Chowdhury has alleged that the Bidhalgarh CPIM party office was functioning as the hub of illicit drug business, following which the police conducted the raid after the local BJP leaders complained of this.

Meantime CPI-M leader and former Finance Minister who was present during the search in operation alleged that over hundreds of BJP supporters slogging Bharat Mata Ki Jaay has blocked his way and other of coming out of the party office and they remained present even during the raid and attempted to enter the party office which is undemocratic.

He also informed that a written allegation shall be tabled with the Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in this connection.

However, adequate numbers of paramilitary forces were deployed in front of the CPI-M party office at Bishalgarh to bring the situation under control as over hundreds of BJP supporters were protesting the illicit business at the party office during the raid on Wednesday night.

PM Modi holds roadshow in Bhubaneswar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held a four km-long roadshow from the BJP's state office here to the Vani Vihar Square area in the city. PM Modi arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here at 8.20 p.m. He later went to the party's state office at Kharvela Nagar.
