Home Voting for senior citizen begins in Tripura for 1st phase of LS Poll

AGARTALA:

To facilitate senior citizens, those aged 80 and above, and those with 40 per cent disabilities, the state election commission has begun Home Voting for the 1st phase of Lok Sabha election in West Tripura Parliamentary Constituency from Wednesday.

Among the 14.61 lakh eligible voters in Tripura West, 4,581 PWDs and elderly individuals have requested home voting assistance.

The polling personnels of the state election commission had visited the residences of eligible voters across the West constituency to facilitate the elderly persons and those with 40 per cent disabilities in casting their vote through ballot papers. The home voting will last till April 11.

Home voting in Tripura East Lok Sabha constituency will be held on April 17 and 18 for 4,720 elderly voters and PwDs.
