Venus Club, one of the oldest clubs of Kailashahar is going to organize 46th Durga puja this year. The budget of the club is Rs. 25 lakh this year. The works of attractive puja pandal is going on at full swing at the ground of TRTC Stand of the town.
The special attraction of the club is bamboo made idol of Durga and other deities. The artist of idol is Shiba Prashad Pal of East Midnapur in West Bengal. Construction of pandal is going on by instruction of decorator Nabadwip Bhowmik. Fulu Electrical is in charge of lighting of the pandal.
Another special attraction of the club is Dhol and Tasa from Punjab. A group of 25 member artists will arrive here from Delhi. Cultural programme will be performed on the day of Dashami with artists of state and out of the state.
Mahaprashad will be distributed on the day of Navami. The club has not organized any social programme this year. The organizers said that they distributed relief materials, cloth, and medicine among the affected persons after the devastating flood of this year.

Rajasthan mine accident: Eight of 15 trapped employees rescued
Eight of the 15 employees, including vigilance officers and workers of Hindustan Copper Ltd, who were trapped at 1,875 ft in a mine at Kolihan near Khetri in Rajasthan's Neem Ka thana district, were rescued on Wednesday, said officials here, adding that the operation was underway and soon others will be taken out.
