Frequent change of schedule creates resentment of buyers and sellers at Tulashikhar Bazar

KHOWAI /Tulashikar:

Frequent change of schedule of Tulashikhar Bazar created resentment among the sellers and buyers. Specially the sellers and buyers of non –tribal section expressed strong resentment after change of opening the Bazar from 12 p.m.

Sources said that a group of youths announced on May 17 this year that from now on the market would open from 12 p.m. and close on 4 p.m. instead of opening at 9 a.m. After this announcement numbers of whole sellers and buyers has been reduced in the market. At the same time it created strong resentment among the vehicle drivers and permanent businessmen of the market.

Sources said that 100 percent permanent shopkeepers and farmers are belonging to tribal community here. Most of the farmers opined that the farmers would not get the price of their produced crops and vegetable it the buyers don’t come in the market.

Meanwhile some sellers physically assaulted when they went to sell or open shop before the announced time. However after settlement of new schedule another group of youths announced after one month 8 days that Tulashikhar Bazar would open from 1 p.m. and continue till 5 p.m. They also announced that the sellers would not be able to sell their paddy and chatai (mat) to other buyers, only the youths of the market would buy the paddy and chatai from the farmers. Any buyer should buy paddy and chatai from the youths.

Normally nobody is ready to go to the market in the afternoon due lack of security. Again frequent change schedule is a like a threat to non- tribal people to go to the market. At the same time the administration has no information about the frequent change of schedule time of the market.
