Fide Master Prasenjit Datta elected for National Coach

One and Only Fide Master of Tripura, Prasenjit Datta today got another success when he has been announced as the coach of Indian National Chess team.

From December 10-19 at Gujarat, World Youth (Under 16) Chess Olympiad will be held where Prasenjit Datta will be the coach for the Indian team. Chess Federation Secretary Bharat Singh Chauhan sent the appointment letter to Prasenjit and quite naturally he looked very much delighted.

In the tournament some of the students of his own Matrix Chess academy at Delhi will take part. Grandmaster Arian Chopra, International Master Chess player P. Inian of Tamil Nadu, International Master Chess player Pragyananadha R, International Master Chess player of Kerala Nihal Sarin and Women International Master Chess player of Tamil Nadu Baishali R are the students of Prasenjit who take part in the tournament.

This for the second time that Prasenjit will take this responsibility and over a telephonic interview he said that this tournament will be a big challenge for him and will try his best to guide the players well in the tournament. Tripura chess players also very much pleased of the selection of Prasenjit Datta.
