In a heartbreaking incident, an eight-year-old boy Satyajit Rudra Pal met with a fatal accident while playing on a swing at his residence in the Chittamara Puran Bazar area, under the jurisdiction of Belonia police station. The unfortunate incident occurred on Monday afternoon around 2 pm, leaving the family and community in deep shock and grief.
According to reports from the household, Satyajit was playing on a swing made of plastic rope, which was attached to a tree on the premises. Tragically, while enjoying his time on the swing, Satyajit's neck got entangled, leading to a fatal twist.
Witnesses stated that Satyajit had been sitting with a relative, affectionately known as Jethu, moments before the accident, engrossed in a mobile device. Shortly after, trouble ensued as Satyajit encountered difficulties while riding the swing. His family, unable to locate him initially, found him entangled in the swing in a twisted state.
Upon hearing the frantic screams of the family members, neighbors rushed to the scene. Satyajit was promptly rescued from the swing and rushed to Belonia Hospital for medical attention. However, the attending doctor, after a thorough examination, pronounced Satyajit dead, leaving the community in mourning.
