Durgapuja ends peacefully at Udaipur

UDAIPUR:

Durgapuja ended within pomp gaiety and peaceful environment at Udaipur subdivision and adjacent areas of the subdivision. SDPO Himadri Das said that 344 pujas organized at the subdivision.

Meanwhile immersion of all idols completed. The immersion of the deities at Udaipur and sub urban areas has been done at Chanban Dashami Ghat and Badarmokam Dashami Ghat.

Besides, the immersion of deities at Kakraban held at Dashami Ghat of Gomati river and immersion of deities at Killa area done at local water body. 

Rabindra Sangha of Udaipur made the tallest deity of Durga this year. The fireman of Fire Service melted the idols yesterday at 9 p.m.

Meanwhile large number of devotees visited Udaipur town and adjacent areas during the days of Durgapuja. Police sources said that 2 to 2.5 lakh people visited the subdivision during puja from Belonia, Jolaibari, Sabroom and other areas of South and Gomati district. Police administration took strict attempt by restriction on issuing vehicle pass during puja. Police sources said that the restriction will be maintained till Diwali festival.
