After the dramatic episode of Tripura University Professor Moti Kapoor M Moon, who literally turned his class into a Kung Fu and dance coaching another drastic incident rocked the University campus today.
Reportedly, a person identified as Dilip Gulathi, a resident of Delhi today tried to barged into the administrative building—11(statistics department) of the Tripura University. Though he was overpowered and detained by the private security personnel posted there, a couple of security official sustained injuries in the face of his vehement attacks.
According to University sources, Dilip Gulathi, in inebriated condition entered the varsity campus and went straight to the entrance of statistics department. He tried to enter the building claiming that his wife was studying inside the building and he wanted to talk to her. When the security personnel resisted him, he misbehaved with them and tried to breach the entrance forcefully. As soon as the first security personnel sounded alert, more security men came to stop him. Some of the security men sustained injuries after being hurt by his vehement moves but became successful in stopping him.
Soon the police was informed and he was arrested. Speaking to this correspondent, OC Amtali police station, Subrata Chakraborty said, as far as we understood from the preliminary investigation, Dilip came all the way from Delhi to meet a girl who studies in the statistics department of the University. The girl stopped responding to his messages since few days and that was the reason behind his sudden attack. He was drunk. A case has been registered and he is under custody, Chakraborty told this newsman.
