Door-to-door campaigning in full swing; hoardings dot every nook and corner

With just few days to go for the Assembly elections, the candidates are leaving no stone unturned to lure the voters. The city is abuzz with festoons of all major political parties. Almost all roads and streets, including public and private properties, have been covered with campaign materials.

Road shows are common these days. Candidates have been taking up door-to-door campaigning, accompanied by party supporters and members. BJP candidate of Bordowali Ashish Saha is seen busy in campaigning form door to door on Wednesday morning.

The candidates are assuring people to bring a solution to the problems related to the unemployment, crime against women, 7th pay commission and several others.

“Auto rickshaws with loudspeakers atop have been pressed for campaigning. Meanwhile, the poster war is at its zenith with hoardings and posters installed in every nook and corner of the city. Public properties have been defaced. Hoardings are installed even alongside roads, hung from electricity poles and even private properties are also defaced.
