DM of Gomati district expressed strong resentment about the unhygienic condition of Gomati District Hospital after a surprise visit in the hospital yesterday.
He instructed the In- charge of the hospital MS Debashree Debbarma to take action to solve the problems of the hospital and complain of the patients immediately. Otherwise DM cautioned to take action against any staff of the hospital if he gets any complaint about the mismanagement of the hospital.
Speaking to media DM T.K. Debnath said that he visited the hospital after complain about the deteriorated service of the hospital. Talking to the patients of each and every ward he visited the toilets. Observing unhygienic condition of toilets including toilet near ICU he expressed strong resentment.
On being asked MS Debashree Debbarma said that the worse condition prevailing at toilets due to jamming at pipeline. But she could not give any explanation on question of cleaning the toilets.
Patient parties also alleged that they have to buy medicine and syringe for injection from out of the hospital. They are suffering from odor of toilet in the hospital. They also alleged that nurse and GDA staffs often misbehave with patients. DM cautioned that he would take action against the staff if he gets any complaint.
