The 2 days long Destination Tripura – Business Conclave 2025 has begun here in Agartala from Friday to unveil state’s investment potential.
The Department of Industry and Commerce has launched the event here in a private run hotel in Agartala with the aim of offering a unique platform for policymakers, industry leaders, and investors to come together and explore avenues for collaboration, networking, and participation.
Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Secretary of Industry and Commerce Department Kiran Gitte, Director of Industry and Commerce Vishwasree B and others were present in the launching ceremony.
Sectoral sessions was held on the first day of the conclave, where experts presented the policies and incentives offered by the Government of Tripura for each sector. This was followed by Business-to- Government meetings, where each investor had the chance to have one-on-one discussions with officials and policymakers from the department to understand the business ecosystem developed in the state to boost investment and growth.
The event began with a welcome speech from the Director of Industries and Commerce, who presented a quick synopsis of the infrastructural growth and recent policies launched to develop a favourable investment ecosystem for investors and entrepreneurs in Tripura.
Additionally, this business conclave focused on the service sector of Tripura. Investors from major sectors such as Information Technology, Education and Skill Development, Healthcare, and Tourism participated in large numbers, along with traditional sectors such as Rubber, Agar, and Food Processing.
Highlighting the government focus on multiple services sector industries and investor friendly policies of the state the secretary of the industry and commerce department Kiran Gitte has urged the business community to explore the untapped potential in the form of skilled human resources, opportunities for public- private partnerships in the healthcare sector, and infrastructure development in popular tourist sites.
Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha, recounted how Tripura has recently achieved a remarkable growth index and is a forerunner in the sustainable development index among the Northeastern states.
