Leftist councilor of Kailashahar Municipal Council Anwara Begam is still working as chairperson of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of Unakoti District after change of power in State Government.
Anwara Begam refused take effective step after submission some proposal for welfare of needy children on behalf of Kailashahar Child Line.
Child Line is an organization which works for the welfare of children from 0 to 18 years age to save them from distressed situation. Begam is allegedly working with political attitude in spite of being an official of government committee.
Sources said that one widow Sabitri Malakar is a resident of KMC ward no-15. Her married daughter is staying with Sabitri with child as she could not tolerate atrocity by family of her husband. The age of her youngest daughter is 6 years. She wanted to send the daughter to Home as she faces problem with daughter to work at other’s houses.
Accordingly the proposal was sent to CWC Chairperson Anwara Begam through Child Line. But she did not take any initiative to provide shelter to the child till today.

Rajasthan mine accident: Eight of 15 trapped employees rescued
Eight of the 15 employees, including vigilance officers and workers of Hindustan Copper Ltd, who were trapped at 1,875 ft in a mine at Kolihan near Khetri in Rajasthan's Neem Ka thana district, were rescued on Wednesday, said officials here, adding that the operation was underway and soon others will be taken out.
