INPT cheated with me. So I have cut off my relation with that party and made coalition with CPI-M to stay along with people for development of the area, said new Chairman of Roypasha Village Committee of Ambassa Block after taking oath as new chairman of the village committee yesterday.
Roypasha village committee formed after abolishing former Kalamcherra under Ambassa Block. Ruling CPI-M got 4 seats, INPT got 3 and TPP got 2 seats out of 9 seats of the village committee in the V.C. poll held in 2016. INPT and TPP occupied the village committee by winning 5 seats. It was decided at that time that the winner candidate TPP will be selected as vice chairman of the village committee. But INPT kept the chairman and vice chairman portfolios among its elected members instead of offering vice chairmanship to TPP candidate. Since then a dispute started between both the allied parties.
Meanwhile ruling CPI-M took the opportunity. Within two years elected member of TPP Lalan Jami joined CPI-M cutting off relationship with INPT. As a result number of seat of CPI-M increased to 5 and number of seats for INPT and TPP reduced to 4. Lalanjami demanded the portfolio of chairman after joining CPI-M. Accordingly CPI-M agreed to select her as new chairperson. She took oath as chairman of Roypasha village at Roypasha Zonal Office yesterday after submission of her resignation to INPT. Sub zonal Development Officer of Roypasha Ratan Debbarma administered the oath taking. Among others Dhalai Zonal Officer Hemanta Debbarma, Chairman of Ambassa Municipal Council Chandan Bhowmik, other officials and more than hundred people of Roypasha village in the oath taking ceremony. Gouranga Debbarma took oath as vice chairman.
At present ruling CPI-M has 10 village committees and INPT has 5 out of 15 VCs under Ambassa Block.
