A total of 175 people across the state have been tested negative so far and discharged later after completion of 14 days of their examinations. Briefing the latest input of the current status of the state over COVID-19, the state health secretary Debasish Basu said, “A total of 2251 people are in quarantine of which 42 are in three different facility quarantine centres and rest are in home quarantine.”
He said, “Of the 42 in facility quarantine, 40 are international traveller and rest are domestic travellers while of the 2209 in home quarantine, 247 are international traveller and rest 1962 are domestic travelers.”
The health secretary informed that people engaged with transportation of essential goods are needed to collect their pass to be issued by the District Magistrate and Sadar District Magistrate.
Meantime, the director and the additional secretary of the food and civil supplies department of the state Hirendra Debbarma informed that the state has enough stock of essential food grains to cater the daily needs of the people of the state.
He said a meeting is held with the Merchant Association to take a note of the current situation of the market.
