The Bisramganj police station had been declared as a containment zone on Thursday after an on-duty sub-inspector found to be Covid 19 positive.
According to local sources, SI Keshab Datta had fallen ill while discharging his duty. He had been later granted leave and sent to his home. As he had complaints of fever along with respiratory problems, the health officials collected his swab samples. Later he was diagnosed with Covid 19.
The administration responded promptly and declared the area as a containment zone. Administrative sources said, soon there will be a concrete decision on resuming activities of the police station at some other place after isolating the close contacts of the patient.
