Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha will inaugurate the newly developed Dashami Ghat in Agartala on October 8, said Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder.
While inspecting the developmental works at Dashami Ghat, Mayor Majumder mentioned that the majority of Durga idol immersions in Agartala take place in the Dashami Ghat area.
"Over the past few years, we have arranged modern facilities for the immersion of idols. However, this year, the ghat will be even more developed. We have made all necessary arrangements. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, a meeting was held with all the clubs, where we informed them about the developments at Dashami Ghat. Our goal is to ensure that Puja organizers face no difficulties during the immersion of Durga idols, and that people can witness the event comfortably," he said.
He also informed that three cranes will be available, and even if it rains, there will be no issues due to the installation of permanent marble tiles.
"Beautification will be carried out with all necessary arrangements. No sound systems will be allowed. All preparations are in place. We are here today to inspect the site, as the Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, will inaugurate it on October 8," he added.
