Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will inaugurate three days Adwaita Malla Barman Utsav tomorrow on the occasion of 105th birth anniversary of the writer who attained fame for his novel on under privileged people “Titas Ekti Nadir Naam”.
Speaker of State Assembly Rebati Mohan Das will attend the programme as Chief Guest. Besides, Professor Dr. Prahlad Roy from Biswa Bharati University, Achintya Biswas, former VC from Gourbanga University, Fakaruddin Ahamed, Sabhadhipati Sipahijala Zila Parishad, Uttam Das, Chairperson of Melaghar Municipal Council, Sima Das (Bhowmik) and Ratan Das will remain present as guest of Honour.
On the occasion Adwaita Malla Barman Smriti Puraskar, 2019 and Adwaita Malla Barman Smarak Samman, 2019 will be offered to the recipients.
Besides, prizes will be distributed to the winners of Essay competition. The programme will continue till February 25. Different competitions will be organized on February 24 and prizes will be distributed on February 25.
