Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Saturday urged to follow the principles and ideology of the late MLA Dilip Sarkar and inaugurated a blood donation camp here at Agartala organised to mark the 4th death anniversary of the late MLA of Badharghat Assembly constituency.
He said, “Real tribute would be paid to late MLA Dilip Sarkar only if we could follow the principles of his life.”
Meanwhile addressing the event on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that the present state government aims to build a developed Tripura taking the people of the state along. "Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas" is the government's ultimate mantra, he said.
He said, although there had been scarcity of blood in the blood banks of the state due to the elections, a public awareness has been generated presently as various schools, colleges and organisations have come forward for blood donation. The Chief Minister informed that the government has taken an initiative to build a drug-free state.
Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumdar, MLA Surajit Dutta, MLA Minarani Sarkar, Social Worker Rajib Bhattacharjee among others were present in the programme.
