Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday took a dig at the opposition CPI(M) party in Tripura and alleged that people of Tripura had witnessed murder, violence and anti-social activities during the last 35 years rule of the Communist party in the state.
Addressing a party rally here at Agartala organized by the Bordowali Mandal, Dr Saha said, “The communist party unleashed terror tactics across the state before elections during their rule, where the general people were scared of coming out of their house to cast their vote.”
“Situation has changed now with the BJP assuming power, where history was created in the last 2023 general assembly elections in the state, where a complete violence-free was held. But on the other hand, the Congress and CPI(M) mislead the people of Tripura with their understanding,” Dr Saha said.
He said, “People refused the understanding of Congress-CPI(M) and voted BJP-IPFT to power yet again in 2023 elections. This time too people of this state will vote for BJP and make Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.”
“No state will be developed if there is an atmosphere of violence, like that of the communist party which created an unhealthy atmosphere in the state during their rule. Following this, the state was pushed towards destruction,” he said, adding that presently under the rule of BJP investors from abroad and outside the state are showing interest to invest in Tripura in all sectors.
Dr Saha underlined the achievements of the BJP government in Tripura and claimed that the state has witnessed a massive transformation during the last six years.
