Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday inaugurated the newly built Cardiac-Care Unit at Kulai in Dhalai district of the state and said that this new facility will largely benefit the people of the Dhalai district.
He said that the government has a plan to establish cardio-care units in the rest of the districts of the state, aiming to render quality health care to the people of this state. The Cardiac-Care unit in Dhalai is the second unit after the Agartala GBP Hospital.
Addressing the inauguration session of multiple projects in Dhalai district on Wednesday, the Chief Minister Dr. Saha said, “Government has taken various initiatives to improve the quality of health services in the state. The government is working towards making ‘Ek Tripura Sushtha Tripura’.”
“Providing better health services to the people of all parts of the state is one of the priority sectors of the government,” he said, adding that establishment of a Cardiac-Care Unit at Dhalai District Hospital after GBP Hospital is a significant step in expansion of better health services in the state.
He said, “Separate fund has been allocated in the state’s budget this year, so that the people who are not covered under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme will be brought under the Chief Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana.”
On the occasion, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated the newly constructed building of Ambasa Chandraipara Class XII School, 10 newly constructed staff quarters under Ambasa Primary Health Center and the newly constructed Ambasa Cafeteria. Besides, the Chief Minister also laid the virtual foundation stone of the new building of the Kulai Class XII School and the Shelter House for the homeless in the city.
