Cleanliness campaign, vanmahotsav and blood donation by police in North

DHARMANAGAR:

As a part of commitment to work for people staying with them the Police Administration of North District organized different programmes including blood donation and Swacch Bharat Abhijan since morning yesterday.

Police led by SP of North Bhanupada Chakraborty organized Swacch Bharat Abhijan at 7 a.m. in presence of Deputy Speaker of Assembly Biswabandhu Sen. As a part of the programme all police stations of North district performed Swacch Bharat Abhijan.

At the central programme of Police Line DM Ravel Hemendra Kumar was present along with Deputy Speaker and SP. Besides, Police Administration authority of North district handed over Rs.12,000 for the Relief Fund of Chief Minister.

Meanwhile the Police Administration awarded five meritorious students who occupied position among top ten and felicitated the sons and daughters of police staffs who got first division in Madhyamik and H.S. Altogether 20 students received felicitation who got first division in Board exams. At the same time Police authority of North handed over Rs. 5000 to the meritorious student Punit Debnath of Kanchanpur for his further study.

Besides, police organized Vanmohotsav and Blood Donation Camp. A total of 32 police staffs donated blood in the camp. The entire programme set an example of self sacrifice by police who are also a part of the society.
