IG of BSF Tripura Frontier H.K. Lohia appealed all to come forward to build up addiction free Tripura. He made this appeal during speech at a civic action programme organized at Unakoti Kalakshetra of Kailashahar yesterday.
At the civic action BSF 55 Battalion distributed water filter, ceiling fan and water tank for three schools.
BSF 55 Battalion organized the civic action programme like previous years at Unakoti Kalakshetra to provide assistance for different section of people of society. IG H.K. Lohia inaugurated the programme by lighting lamp.
Later IG and other guests handed over the necessary items to the school authority. Among others DM of Unakoti district D. Darlong, SP Lucky Chowhan, BSF officers of different category attended the programme.
On the occasion students of three schools performed cultural programme.

Rajasthan mine accident: Eight of 15 trapped employees rescued
Eight of the 15 employees, including vigilance officers and workers of Hindustan Copper Ltd, who were trapped at 1,875 ft in a mine at Kolihan near Khetri in Rajasthan's Neem Ka thana district, were rescued on Wednesday, said officials here, adding that the operation was underway and soon others will be taken out.
