The Border Security Force (BSF) has seized contraband items and rescued cattle worth Rs 1 crore in three separate operations from the South District.
As per the BSF, on 20th May, based on specific information, a joint operation with PS Hrishyamukh was carried out by troops of BOP Nalua at Village Abhaynagar under South Tripura District, and clothing items worth Rs 78 lakhs were successfully seized.
“In another operation, based on specific information of the BSF, a joint operation with PS Srinagar was carried out by troops of BOP Srinagar at Village Srinagar of South District, and miscellaneous items worth Rs 19 lakhs were successfully seized. In an independent operation on 20th May 2025, vigilant BSF troops also successfully rescued 31 cattle worth Rs 7,70,000 in the Bhangamura area under PS Sabroom, District South Tripura,” the BSF said.
