BSF 130 Battalion observed “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” at Kulai today. A programme was organized on the occasion at Kulai Higher Secondary School to educate students about the bad effect of drug abuse in the society.
Large number of students, teachers, BSF Jawans and officers of the unit participated in the programme. The resource persons delivered speeches and conducted interaction session with young generation to generate awareness about the growing menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
On the occasion Commandant of 130 Battalion BSF Neeraj Sharma interacted with students and staffs of the school. Speaking on the occasion he underlined the importance of “Listen First i.e. Listening to children and youth in the first step to help them to grow healthy and safe”.
Meanwhile BSF 48 Battalion observed “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” at the battalion campus of Khasiamangal today. On the occasion a Motorcycle Rally was organized at Battalion Head Quarter of Khasiamangal at 11 a.m. for campaigning the message of the day.
Commandant of 48 Battalion BSF P.C. Sharma along with DC/ Adjt M.K. Singh inaugurated that rally. Altogether 45 jawans participated in the rally including 10 SO’s and 35 OR’s. The motorcycle rally covered approximate 22 Kms from Khasiamangal to Teliamura market and back.
