BJP accuses CPI-M of killing Madhusudan, agitates in front of police head quarter

AGARTALA:

A group of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lead by senior party leader on Monday hit the streets at Fire brigade Chowmuhni and agitated in front of the police head quarter against the alleged killing of their party booth president of Ramnagar Assembly constituency of West Tripura district Madhusudhan Deb, who was found dead on Sunday last in a hanging position in a jungle near Panchabati (Barjala) sparking widespread resentment among the people in wake of the ensuing assembly election.

The BJP today alleged, "Worried of the emergence of the BJP, the CPI-M cadres has killed Madhusudan and later hanged him in a tree to demise the entire incident."

Demanding the police to register it as murder case, the BJP further alleged, " Police have registered an unnatural death case into the incident whereas it was a pre-planned murder because apparently there was no sign which substantiate police’s decision of registering unnatural death case."

Later the massive protest was withdrawn with the assurance of DIG (Range) Arindam nath. Nath assured the Saffron brigade of taking all necessary measures into the case. However, according to the police source the investigation into the case has already kicked off.
