The incident of catching one Bangladeshi citizen by BSF on being driven out by villagers sparked resentment among the villagers against BSF today at Tarakpur border. Sources said that Bangladeshi citizens are infiltrating in Indian side of Tripura in every night by paying the local brokers.
Meanwhile the villagers of Tarakpur started night patrolling to save the village from cattle lifters. Because the cattle lifters used to steal cow from any house of border and pass the cow to Bangladesh in every night.
Sources said that local gang of thieves have tied up with cattle mafias of Bangladesh. The villagers caught him suspecting his involvement with cow theft. The name of the person is Chana Mia (37). He is the resident of Barchak village of Silhet district of Bangladesh. He entered in Indian side by paying Rs. 2500 to local agent Idris Ali and one BSF officer is allegedly involved with the infiltration.
The villagers have many allegations against the officer who help smugglers of both the country in exchange of money. Now the person has been handed over to the police of Kadamtala Police Station and he will be produced in court tomorrow.
Meanwhile the villagers expressed strong resentment against BSF and role of police.
