He alleged, "Rs. 18000 crore has been floored for Tripura under the 14th Finance Commission, but the fund has not reached the common people of this state, rather the fund has been looted among communist cadres."

In his speech, Amit Shah also hit out at congress and alleged, "Despite knowing the fact that the Sonia Gandhi led congress cannot do anything for the development of this state, the party is contesting this election." Adding to this he said, "The congress is contesting this election simply to save the communist here by cutting the anti-Left votes."
He further alleged, "The people of the state, especially the poor section are deprived at large under the 25 years mis-rule of the Left front government."
