As the Agartala Smart City Limited has initiated an extensive drainage and road development works in the city of Agartala as part of upgrading urban infrastructure, the Chief Executive Officer of the Agartala Smart City Dr Shailesh Yadav on Sunday inspected the work and said that the works shall be completed before the arrival of monsoon season.
He said that the project involves construction of 23 kms of roads and 46 kms of scientifically designed drainage system in Agartala. The Agartala Smart City is now developing a comprehensive and technically sound drainage system in the city, he added.
Alongside the drainage system, the Agartala Smart City is also working on underground electric lines and water supply systems in the city. The CEO said that the project is aimed at improving urban infrastructure and ensuring long term resilience.
