The Railway Board of the Centre has approved extension of Agartala- Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express train service upto Sabroom in South Tripura district to facilitate the passengers at large. The Agartala- Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express train will run four days a week.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Baishnab for the extension of the train service and said, “This will largely benefit the people of Tripura.”
On the other hand, the North-East Frontier Railway has extended the periodicity of Agartala-Silchar-Agartala Special train upto December 12, 2023 to clear extra rush during the festive season in Tripura and other parts.
