Police of R.K. Pur Police Station achieved another success by arresting the accused person involved with siphoning off fund from ATM. The name of the accused is Chinmoy Chakraborty (32). Police sources said that he is son of Rabi Chakraborty and resident of Kaylarmath.
He attempted to snatch money when common people were drawing money from ATM below the SBI Branch at the centre of Udaipur town yesterday. At that time Chief Manager of Udaipur Branch Debajyoti Bhattacharjee saw the person from the secret camera of bank. Immediately he informed the police and sent them who were engaged in the bank.
Observing police Chinmay tried to escape. But police followed him and caught him red handed. On being informed SDPO Himadri Das rushed to the spot and brought the accused at the police station.
After interrogation Chinmay admitted that he was involved in stealing money from ATM. He also admitted that rackets of snatchers were involved in siphoning off fund from different ATMs. Police sources said that he was also involved stealing money from ATM and cases filed against him in different police stations. At present he is at R.K. Pur Police Station and he will be produced in court tomorrow.
