5 shops burnt at Udaipur town on night of Laxmipuja

UDAIPUR:

At least five shops gutted by a devastating fire at Central Road of Udaipur on the night of Laxmipuja. Sources said that the fire started in between 12 to 12-30 a.m.

At first the fire started from Roy Hardware Shop and started to spread Gomati Hardware, Mahanam Enterprise, Janaki Verities and one more shop. On being informed four fire engines rushed to the spot and controlled the fire by fighting two hours.

From information it revealed that the amount of loss is about Rs.1 crore. Local people could not apprehend the fire due to bursting of fire crackers on night of Laxmi puja. At last they rushed to the spot after realizing the incident.

Although, there is no confirmation about the source of fire. Police is still in dilemma whether to source was fire cracker or short circuit.
